Charwei Tsai (born 1980) is a Taiwanese artist known for her meditative practice of inscribing Buddhist sutras and texts onto organic and ephemeral surfaces such as mushrooms, lotus leaves, shells, and bodies of water. Her work bridges spirituality, language, and impermanence, drawing from Buddhist philosophy and Taoist thought to explore the transient nature of existence. She has exhibited widely at major international institutions and biennales, and her practice spans video, performance, installation, and works on paper.
