The Tairona civilization, flourishing along the northern coast of present-day Colombia between approximately 200 CE and 1600 CE, produced extraordinary goldwork celebrated for its technical mastery and spiritual symbolism. Their frog pendants and necklaces, cast using the lost-wax technique, represent fertility, water, and transformation in indigenous cosmology. These objects were worn by elite members of Tairona society and continue to appear in major auction houses as prized examples of Pre-Columbian metalwork.
