Noah Davis was a painter whose figurative works depicted African American subjects in enigmatic, dreamlike scenarios rendered with muted palettes. He founded the Underground Museum in Los Angeles with his wife to bring museum-quality art to their Arlington Heights neighborhood. His work has been exhibited posthumously at the Hammer Museum and David Zwirner Gallery.
