Mircea Cantor is a Romanian-born contemporary artist known for his conceptually rich works that explore themes of conflict, duality, vulnerability, and the fragility of social and political systems. Working across video, sculpture, drawing, and photography, his practice often employs symbolic imagery and poetic gestures to address power dynamics and human condition. He gained international recognition after winning the Marcel Duchamp Prize in 2011 and has exhibited widely in major institutions and biennials worldwide.
