Michael Landy creates installations, sculptures, and performances that critique consumerism, destruction, and the art market. He is known for his 2001 work "Break Down" in which he systematically destroyed all his possessions, and for his kinetic sculptures. His work is in the collections of the Tate, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Arts Council Collection.
