Max Schödl

Max Schödl (1834, 1921) was an Austrian still life painter renowned for his meticulous depictions of ornate objects, antiques, ceramics, and curiosities arranged in richly detailed compositions. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and became celebrated for his trompe-l'œil and Baroque-inspired still lifes that appealed strongly to collectors during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
