Marijke van Warmerdam (born 1959, Amsterdam) is a Dutch conceptual artist known for her hypnotic film loops, photographs, and installations that explore the poetry of everyday moments and the passage of time. Her work often captures fleeting, cyclical actions that hover between the ordinary and the uncanny, inviting viewers into a meditative state of heightened perception. She has exhibited internationally at major institutions and represented the Netherlands at the Venice Biennale in 1995.
