Magdalena Suarez Frimkess

Frimkess creates ceramic vessels covered with playful paintings that mix art historical references, pop culture, and personal narratives. Working in Los Angeles since the 1960s, she has influenced generations of ceramic artists. Her work has been exhibited at MOCA Los Angeles, the Hammer Museum, and the 2022 Venice Biennale.
