Ma Ke

Ma Ke (born 1971) is a pioneering Chinese fashion designer and artist known for blending traditional Chinese craft techniques with conceptual art practice. She founded the avant-garde fashion label EXCEPTION de MIXMIND in 1996 and later created the experimental luxury brand WUYONG (meaning 'useless'), which gained international attention after her presentation at Paris Haute Couture Week in 2008. Her work explores themes of materialism, spirituality, and the relationship between handcraft, the human body, and the natural world.
