Ligorano/Reese is a New York-based collaborative duo consisting of Nora Ligorano and Marshall Reese, known for their conceptually driven work that spans video, installation, sculpture, and new media. Their practice often engages with political and social commentary, incorporating text, language, and pop culture references to examine contemporary issues such as democracy, consumerism, and the media landscape. They are perhaps best known for their 'Melt' series, in which they carve words and phrases from ice and document their melting in public spaces as a form of ephemeral political sculpture.
