Krishna Reddy (1925, 2018) was an Indian-born printmaker and sculptor widely regarded as one of the most innovative figures in 20th-century printmaking. He is best known for pioneering the technique of viscosity printing, a method he developed alongside Stanley William Hayter at Atelier 17 in Paris, which allowed multiple colors to be printed simultaneously from a single intaglio plate. Reddy's work, which bridges Eastern philosophy and Western modernism, earned him international acclaim and a long teaching career at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
