Karl Albert Buehr

Karl Albert Buehr (1866, 1952) was a German-American painter known for his luminous portraits and figural works, particularly of women and children in elegant interior and garden settings. He studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and later in Paris, where he was influenced by French Impressionism. Buehr exhibited widely during his lifetime and became a respected figure in the Chicago art community.
