Karel van Mander III (1609, 1670) was a Danish-Dutch painter of Flemish descent who served as court painter to the Danish king Frederik III. He was the grandson of the celebrated art theorist Karel van Mander I and was known primarily for his portraits of Danish royalty and aristocracy. Van Mander III worked extensively in Copenhagen, where he played a significant role in establishing a Baroque portrait tradition at the Danish court.
