Kaare Klint

Kaare Klint (1888, 1954) was a pioneering Danish architect and furniture designer widely regarded as the father of modern Danish furniture design. He emphasized functional rationalism, meticulous craftsmanship, and the study of human proportions, drawing inspiration from historical furniture traditions including English, Chinese, and Egyptian designs. His work laid the foundational principles of the Danish Modern movement and profoundly influenced generations of Scandinavian designers.
