John Leslie Breck (1860, 1899) was an American Impressionist painter best known for his association with Claude Monet and his time at Giverny, France, where he painted the gardens and surrounding landscape. He was among the first American artists to work at Giverny and helped introduce French Impressionism to American audiences. Breck is particularly celebrated for his series of garden and atmospheric landscape paintings that reflect the direct influence of Monet's technique and palette.
