John DeAndrea is an American Hyperrealist sculptor best known for creating extraordinarily lifelike figurative works cast from live human models, typically depicting the female nude. Working primarily in polyester resin and fiberglass with oil paint and real hair, his sculptures achieve an uncanny level of anatomical accuracy that challenges viewers' perceptions of art and reality. DeAndrea emerged as a significant figure in the Superrealism movement of the 1970s alongside contemporaries such as Duane Hanson and John De Andrea, and his work has been collected by major museums internationally.
