Ivan Fedorovich Choultsé (1877, 1932) was a Russian-born painter celebrated for his luminous winter landscapes and moonlit snow scenes rendered in a highly refined, atmospheric style. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg before emigrating to Paris following the Russian Revolution, where he achieved considerable commercial and critical success. His works are frequently offered at major auction houses and remain highly sought after by collectors of Russian and European fine art.
