Hilario Alejos Madrigal is a celebrated Mexican potter from the state of Michoacán, renowned for his distinctive 'pineapple' ceramic wares. His signature style was inspired by the original pineapple-shaped punch bowls created by his mother, potter Elisa Madrigal Martinez, and has since expanded to include bowls, candelabras, and other forms, most famously executed in a striking green glaze. His work has earned him multiple awards and is featured on the cover of the prestigious reference book Grandes Maestros del Arte Popular Mexicano, published by Fomento Cultural Banamex.
