Henry Alken

Henry Alken (1785, 1851) was a prolific British sporting artist renowned for his vivid depictions of fox hunting, steeplechasing, horse racing, and other country pursuits. He produced thousands of works including paintings, drawings, and highly popular engravings that captured the energy and humor of Regency-era sporting life. Alken's prints were widely reproduced and collected, making him one of the most commercially successful sporting artists of the 19th century.
