Henri Simmen (1879, 1963) was a Belgian-born ceramicist who became one of the most celebrated Art Nouveau and Art Deco studio potters working in France. He trained under notable masters and developed a distinctive style characterized by refined stoneware with rich, lustrous glazes influenced by Far Eastern traditions. His work, often created in collaboration with his wife Odette de Crecy, is highly sought after at auction for its exceptional craftsmanship and elegant organic forms.
