George Fiske

George Fiske (1835, 1918) was an American photographer best known for his stunning documentation of Yosemite Valley, capturing its dramatic landscapes, waterfalls, and wildlife during the late 19th century. He worked closely with John Muir and spent decades living in and around Yosemite, producing thousands of glass plate negatives that serve as an invaluable historical record of the region. His work was widely distributed as stereographs and prints, bringing the grandeur of California's wilderness to audiences across the country.
