G.B. Trudeau, born Garretson Beekman Trudeau in 1948, is best known as the creator of the long-running comic strip 'Doonesbury,' which debuted in 1970 and became one of the most politically and socially satirical works in American popular culture. His work blurs the line between cartooning and fine art, with original strip artwork appearing in auction houses and galleries. Trudeau was the first daily comic strip artist to win a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1975, cementing his significance as both a cultural commentator and visual artist.
