Franz Innocenz Josef Kobell (1749, 1822) was a German landscape painter and etcher known for his idyllic depictions of the Bavarian and Rhine countryside. A member of the prominent Kobell artistic dynasty, he worked in a classical tradition influenced by Dutch masters and the serene pastoral landscapes of the 17th century. He served as a court painter in Munich and was widely collected across German-speaking Europe.
