Frank Earle Schoonover (1877, 1972) was an American illustrator renowned for his vivid depictions of frontier life, adventure, and the Canadian wilderness. A student of Howard Pyle at the Drexel Institute and later the Brandywine School, he contributed extensively to major publications such as Harper's Weekly, Scribner's Magazine, and Boys' Life. His dynamic compositions and meticulous research, including firsthand expeditions to remote regions, established him as one of the preeminent illustrators of the Golden Age of American Illustration.
