Constant David Ludovic Artz

Constant David Ludovic Artz (1870, 1951) was a Dutch painter known for his intimate depictions of peasant life, coastal scenes, and rural landscapes, continuing the tradition of the Hague School. He studied under his father, the celebrated painter David Adolf Constant Artz, and developed a refined naturalistic style marked by soft light and quiet domesticity. His works frequently appeared at European and American auction houses, depicting figures in interiors and children at play near the Dutch coast.
