Claude Venard

Claude Venard (1913, 1999) was a French Post-Impressionist painter celebrated for his richly textured still lifes, urban scenes, and landscapes rendered in bold, vibrant colors with thick impasto technique. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and became associated with the School of Paris, exhibiting widely in France and internationally throughout his career. His work is characterized by dynamic compositions and a joyful, expressive use of color that earned him significant recognition in the mid-20th century art market.
