Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi (born 1937) is a pioneering Iranian artist widely regarded as a founder of the Saqqakhaneh movement, which fused traditional Persian calligraphy, mystical symbolism, and folk art with modernist abstraction. His intricate compositions featuring layers of repeated script, talismanic motifs, and geometric patterning have been celebrated internationally, with major works sold at Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonhams. Having relocated to Paris in the 1960s, he became one of the most prominent Middle Eastern artists on the global art market.
