Brenna Youngblood

Brenna Youngblood is a Los Angeles-based contemporary artist known for her mixed-media paintings that combine photography, found materials, and abstract painting techniques. Her work explores themes of African American identity, memory, and the built environment, often incorporating collaged photographic elements with gestural paint application. Youngblood gained significant recognition after winning the Sovereign African Art Prize in 2008 and has exhibited widely in both national and international institutions.
