Boyle Family is a British art collective founded by Mark Boyle (1934, 2005) and Joan Hills (1936, 2022), later joined by their children Sebastian and Georgia Boyle. The group is best known for their 'World Series,' an ambitious project begun in the 1960s to recreate random sections of the Earth's surface in meticulous, hyper-realistic relief sculptures using fibreglass, resin, and mixed media. Their work blurs the boundaries between sculpture, painting, and documentary art, achieving extraordinary fidelity to the textures and materials of the natural and urban environment.
