Billie Zangewa

Billie Zangewa creates intricate collages using silk textiles to depict scenes of domestic life, Black femininity, and maternal experience. Her hand-stitched works, such as 'The Rebirth of the Black Venus,' celebrate everyday moments and the intimacy of women's private spaces. Her work is held in collections at the Zeitz MOCAA and has been exhibited at Art Basel and major galleries internationally.
