Arthur Siegel (1913, 1978) was an American photographer known for his pioneering work in color photography and photojournalism, as well as his experimental abstract images. He studied at the New Bauhaus in Chicago under László Moholy-Nagy and later became a faculty member at the Institute of Design, where he significantly influenced a generation of American photographers. His work spanned documentary, commercial, and fine art photography, often pushing the boundaries of the medium through innovative use of light and color.
