Anton Kern (1710, 1747) was a German-Bohemian Baroque painter known for his religious and mythological compositions, having trained under prominent masters in Dresden and Rome. He was appointed court painter in Dresden and produced altarpieces and decorative works for noble patrons across Central Europe. His work reflects the exuberant late Baroque style prevalent in German and Bohemian artistic centers of the early eighteenth century.
