Ang Kiukok (1931, 2005) was a Filipino painter of Chinese descent, widely regarded as one of the most important modernist artists in the Philippines. Known for his expressionist style, he depicted distorted human figures, fishermen, and crucifixion scenes with raw intensity and dark, angular forms. He was awarded the Order of National Artists of the Philippines in 2001, cementing his legacy as a master of Filipino modernism.
