Alice Penalba (1913, 1982) was an Argentine-born French sculptor known for her abstract bronze and iron works that evoke organic and totemic forms. She studied under Ossip Zadkine in Paris and became a prominent figure in postwar European abstraction, exhibiting widely at international venues including the Venice Biennale. Her sculptures are held in major museum collections across Europe and the Americas.
