Afruz Amighi is an Iranian-American artist based in New York whose work draws on Persian mythology, Sufi poetry, and Islamic visual traditions to explore themes of displacement, spirituality, and the feminine. She is best known for her large-scale installations and works on Plexiglas that use chain-link fencing, light, and shadow to create ethereal, often otherworldly imagery. Her practice bridges Eastern and Western cultural references, earning her recognition in both the contemporary art world and diaspora art communities.
