Angus Fairhurst (1966–2008) was a British conceptual artist closely associated with the Young British Artists (YBAs) movement, and a close friend and collaborator of Damien Hirst and Sarah Lucas. His practice spanned painting, sculpture, video, and performance, often exploring themes of identity, duality, and the absurd through a darkly humorous lens. He is perhaps best known for his gorilla suit works and his contributions to landmark YBA exhibitions including 'Freeze' in 1988.
