Lesser Ury

Leo Lesser Ury was a German Impressionist painter and printmaker born in 1861, known for his evocative depictions of Berlin street scenes, cafés, and nocturnal cityscapes illuminated by artificial light. Associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting, he developed a distinctive style blending Impressionism with Symbolist undertones. He was a contemporary and sometime rival of Max Liebermann, and his work gained significant recognition during the Berlin Secession era.
