Jake Berthot

Jake Berthot was a painter who created reductive abstractions featuring geometric forms and later landscape-inspired works in muted palettes. He moved from hard-edged minimalism to more painterly, contemplative canvases over his career. His work is held in the Metropolitan Museum, MoMA, and the Whitney Museum.
