Howard Cook

Howard Cook (1901, 1980) was an American artist celebrated for his printmaking, murals, and watercolors, particularly his dynamic depictions of industrial landscapes, urban scenes, and the American Southwest. Trained at the Art Students League in New York, he developed a bold, expressive style that drew on regionalism and modernism, earning him recognition as one of the foremost printmakers of his generation. His WPA-era murals and graphic works captured the energy of American labor and life during the mid-twentieth century.
