Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri is a Pintupi artist who lived a traditional nomadic life until 1984 when he made contact with settled communities, becoming one of the last Indigenous people to do so. His minimalist paintings depict sacred sites and Tingarri ancestral narratives with restrained palette and geometric forms. His work is held in major Australian and international museums.
