A pair of Italian bronze saluting cannons from Venice dating to the late 16th or 17th century, cast with decorative reliefs depicting the armed figure of Mars, Victory with palm and laurel wreath, and Peace holding an olive branch. Now mounted on later white marble cross-shaped platforms with patinated bases featuring C-scrolls and lion masks joined by drapery, formerly fitted as lamps.
