Shadow Study XXXI is a large scale unique work on paper by celebrated Spanish sculptor and visual artist Jaume Plensa, created in 2010. The composition depicts a shadowy human figure rendered in dripping black ink, with the interior of the form filled with densely layered letters and typographic marks drawn from multiple writing systems. Ink streams cascade downward from the silhouette, dissolving form into language and evoking themes of identity, the body, and the written word. The work is offered through Richard Gray Gallery and is presented framed at 163.8 x 117.8 x 5.1 cm.
