A luminous field of fluid color unfolds across the surface, reflecting Helen Frankenthaler's signature ability to coax paint into organic, atmospheric forms. Created as part of her ambitious series of thirty unique monotypes, this work showcases the spontaneous yet controlled bleeding and pooling of pigment that defined her artistic vision. The monotype medium allowed Frankenthaler to explore the unpredictable beauty of her process in an intimate, one-of-a-kind format.
