
An exceptionally large and rare Dingyao 'fish' basin
宋至金 定窰白釉魚藻紋大盌
This exceptionally rare Dingyao basin from the Song to Jin dynasty features masterfully carved and combed interior decoration depicting a carp swimming through water weeds. The exterior displays three rows of overlapping leaves beneath an ivory-colored glaze, with a metal-bound rim and accompanying Japanese wood cover and boxes.
