Zheng Xiaoxu (1860, 1938) was a prominent Chinese calligrapher, poet, and politician who served as the first Prime Minister of Manchukuo. Renowned for his mastery of the regular and running script styles, his calligraphic works are highly prized in East Asian art markets for their refined elegance and scholarly character. His Eight-character Couplets in Xingshu (semi-cursive script) exemplify the literati tradition, blending classical precision with expressive brushwork.
