Yvonne Thomas

Yvonne Thomas (1913, 2009) was an American abstract expressionist painter who studied in New York and Paris, becoming an integral part of the New York School in the 1950s. She was associated with notable figures such as Hans Hofmann and exhibited widely in galleries across New York during the height of the Abstract Expressionist movement. Her richly textured canvases are characterized by vibrant color relationships and gestural brushwork.
