Willem Van Mieris

Willem van Mieris was a Dutch Golden Age painter born in Leiden in 1662, son of the renowned artist Frans van Mieris the Elder. He specialized in small-scale cabinet paintings featuring genre scenes, mythological subjects, and portraits, executed with exceptional technical refinement and attention to detail. His work commanded high prices during his lifetime and continues to appear at major international auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's.
