Vittorio Zecchin (1878, 1947) was an Italian painter, glassmaker, and decorative artist who played a pivotal role in the revival of Venetian glassmaking traditions. Deeply influenced by the Symbolist movement and the works of Gustav Klimt, he brought a refined aesthetic sensibility to both his paintings and his celebrated glass designs for the Murano factory MVM Cappellin & C. and later Venini. His iconic 'Veronese' glass series, characterized by thin-walled, delicately blown forms inspired by Renaissance paintings, established a new standard for modern Murano glass design.
