Turkey Tolson Tjupurrula (c. 1938, 2001) was a senior Pintupi man and highly regarded Australian Aboriginal artist from the Western Desert region. He was among the founding members of the Papunya Tula Artists cooperative in the early 1970s, a movement that transformed Indigenous Australian art onto canvas and brought it to international attention. His works are celebrated for their intricate dot paintings depicting Dreaming stories, particularly the Straightening Spears ceremony, and are held in major public and private collections worldwide.
