Todd Webb

Todd Webb (1905, 2000) was an American photographer celebrated for his documentary images of everyday life in mid-20th century America, particularly his intimate street scenes of New York City and his photographs of the American West and Southwest. His work is characterized by a quiet, humanistic approach that captured ordinary people and urban landscapes with warmth and clarity. Webb's decades-long friendship and working relationship with photographer Dorothea Lange, as well as his extensive documentation of Georgia O'Keeffe's life in New Mexico, have cemented his significance in the history of American documentary photography.
